RIACS Videos Air on PBS, win Telly Awards

A series of technology videos produced by USRA - RIACS began appearing on local public television in May.

The series, entitled Space Science and Technology, features two videos highlighting USRA’s Stratospheric Observatory For Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) program, and two additional videos showcasing RIACS developed technologies MAPGEN and Lunar World Wind. Each of the four videos is approximately five minutes in length and are designed to be aired between regularly scheduled programming. 

In addition to being aired on KCSM-TV, two of the videos were honored in the 28th Annual Telly Awards, receiving bronze medals.  A third video highlighting another RIACS developed technology entitled Performance Management Tool, also received a bronze medal.

The Telly Awards honor the best in commercial film and video production.
